These are some of the kids from the village we delivered backpacks to. Each kid got a backpack filled with notebooks, pencils, and various other school supplies. *

Piltz spends some time reading Dr. Seuss en Espanol . . . well . . . the Nicaraguan kids were doing most of the reading. Piltz has some pronounciation issues. *

Piltz is teaching this Nicaraguan child to play "slaps". Even in another country, he's a bad influence. *

"Junior" (that's his name) decided to show off a bit after jumping the fence at his school. (he wanted to go on the swings, and the gate was locked.) *

We share our hacienda with a Rottweiler named "Benz" (as in Mercedes), and a bunch of chickens who think they are laying eggs . . . (they need therapy) *

Some kids came over while we were working, so we took a break for some stories and songs. *

This is one of the reasons you need a 4x4 to get to the village . . . yes, we're fording a stream. *
